Hammock to Haven

This place is located not far from the Village Centre but a bit uphill towards the mountain. You could try to go there by foot, but it’s better to go by car. As soon as you enter the “welcome” gate, you can already hear nothing but the singing birds welcoming you  to the “Scandinavian SPA Whistler”. What a Great sanctuary!

You will enter through the main door and check-in at the front desk. The staff will check you in and will also remind you (once again about the No devices policy (camera & phone) and the Mode-on Silence. They will also quickly explain what you are going to do and provide you with map details. They have several hot pools, cold pools, a Steam and Sauna room, and also a JUST to relax - area. The art of doing this treatments are: after you have had your massage  (optional), you dip your body into the hot pool for around 10-15min,  then into the cold pool for around 10 min. Relax and repeat until you feel that the money you’ve spent is worth it! LOL. If you are not into massages you also can book walks in “bath” only and join the waitlist if they’re really busy during that season.

The No devices policy (camera & phone) and Mode-on Silence rules are written in almost every corner of the place, including by your locker’s door. They will provide you with 2 towels and 1 bathrobe, and of course, you can ask for additional towels. Slippers/flip flops are a must to bring, as well as a water bottle, although they provide a water fountain and cups in every corner. Bringing a book to read or simply sleeping during the relaxing moments is also a good idea.

After they have explained everything and given you the towels, you will go to the changing room, and DON’T forget to have a quick shower before the massage or before you start your bath/ before getting into the pool.

Because I start with the massage, well even though I felt broke inside, I felt happy outside LOL. (Oh yeah, on the top of this price, you also need to pay extra for gratuity). The massage was great, but I believe you could get this kind of massage everywhere – it’s just a full body massage; the thing is you just need to find a good MASSEUSE AND I found her this time! Maybe what sets this place apart from others is the; “NO devices allowed” and “PLS silent!” policies, as well as being surrounded by trees and located in the middle of NOWHERE!

After I was done with the massage, I was told to take a quick shower to remove the oil from my body and then go to the pool for my bath. The hot pool was GREAT, stayed there for around 10-15 min, then moved to the cold one. Which fyi I could only survived there only around 3-4 minutes! The COLD went to my marrow bone, I just had to leave and relax in my hammock. The Hammock to Haven area, located near the first hot POOL was AMAZING! The view from this corner was just GREAT! They do have other relaxing/ resting corner but none like this one that I enjoyed so much near the FIRST hot pool. It’s kind of hidden access to get to this spot. HAMMOCK to HAVEN!

Next to roof of the red building is my fave Hammock to Haven
Left top area is the first hot pool

After some hammock time, I went to the steam room, as soon as I entered the room, I can smell the very strong yet Enjoyable eucalyptus aroma. If you like it then good! If you don’t, then too bad L. You can stay as long as you wanted then move to the sauna room, then repeat again this dipping cycle into the pool.

If you hungry, not a problem, you can take a break and enjoy something at their cafĂ©. You can stuff your stomach with their pastry, tea or coffee. This is the time where you can have access to your phone, in case you want to take some pictures! Once you’re done resting from your rest (LOL), you can back to your bath and repeat!

Am I suggesting this thing? WELL, if you are really tired and totally stressed out with things surround you, and you’re happened to be around the area, JUST book it. At least to have the experience, because after the treatment and Enjoy the bath cycle in this GREAT sanctuary, you might wanted to go back and visit this place again at least to be ALONE from the craziness world out there! IF not, then ONCE is should be enough for NOW!
